Meena Khanna

Meena Khanna is the Director of the Division of Resource Management and Administration in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR).  Prior to this position, Meena served as the Acting Deputy Director in the Division of New and Renewed Licenses.  Meena also conducted a rotation in the Office of the Executive Director for Operations as the Acting Deputy Assistant for Operations and served as the Acting Deputy Division Director in the Division of Policy and Rulemaking in NRR, overseeing the Research and Test Reactor activities.  She previously held various branch chief positions in the Rulemaking Branch in the Office on Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards, and in the Division of Operating Reactor Licensing and Division of Engineering in NRR. Meena began her NRC career as a Nuclear Safety Intern in Region 3. She earned a B.S. degree in Materials/Metallurgical Engineering from Purdue University and is a 2020 graduate of the Agency’s Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program.
