Vincent Rebour

For 23 years within IRSN (French Institute de Radioprotection et de Sûreté Nucléaire), Vincent Rebour has been permanently engaged in the assessment of the external hazards for nuclear installations. He was involved in flooding hazard analysis, first in the IRSN crisis team when Le Blayais NPP faced a flooding due to an extreme storm, in 1999, second in the in depth review of the flooding hazards for all the French NPPs, third in drafting the new French regulation for flood protection. He is involved in IAEA, WENRA (Western European Nuclear Regulators Association) or OECD technical groups and expert missions. His team, Site and Natural Hazards Department, provides technical reviews and develops research activities in several domains, such as Probabilistic Flood Hazard Analysis.  In the domain of Probabilistic Flood Hazard and Risk Analysis there’s an active research collaboration between IRSN and US-NRC.
