Tai Asayama

Tai Asayama is Deputy Director General of Fast Reactor Cycle System Research and Development Center of Japan Atomic Energy Agency. He has been working on elevated temperature materials and design methodologies for more than thirty years. He is also engaged in codes and standards development for fast reactors. He chairs the Subgroup on Elevated Temperature Codes in the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers. He is also an active member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and recently developed Code Case N-875 as a project manager which provides alternative inservice inspection strategies for liquid metal reactors based on the System Based Code Concept.
