Jean-Luc Lachaume

Jean-Luc Lachaume graduated from the French Naval Academy in 1983.

After the first part of his career in the French Navy he joined the French Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN) in 1998.

In 2004 he was appointed Deputy Director-General of ASN mainly responsible for oversight of the nuclear installations operated by ORANO, the CEA and ANDRA, and of the radioactive sources.

In 2017 he joined IRSN as Executive Director for Emergency Preparedness and Response.

On December 21, 2018, Jean Luc Lachaume was appointed ASN Commissioner by the President of the National Assembly.
