Undine Shoop

Undine Shoop is the Chief, Plant Licensing Branch II-2 in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.  Ms. Shoop joined the NRC in 1996 as a reactor intern (currently the NSPDP program) and from 1998 until 2005 she was a technical reviewer in the Reactor Systems Branch specializing in nuclear fuel and thermal-hydraulic analysis.  Prior to her current position, she held positions in the Office of the Executive Director for Operations and as the Chief of the Health Physics and Human Performance, and Radiation Protection and Consequence Branches.//Prior to joining the NRC, Ms. Shoop worked as a reactor engineer at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station as a co-op student.

Ms. Shoop received a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.  She is a graduate of the NRC’s Leadership Potential Program.
