Chang Ju Lee

Speaker has over 27 years of experience in nuclear safety regulation.//He received BS Degree in nuclear engineering from the Hanyang University in Seoul, Korea in 1983, and MS degree followed by PhD in nuclear and quantum engineering from the KAIST, Korea in 2006.

After graduating the KAIST, he joined Nuclear Safety Center, which was formerly KINS, in 1986. Since early 1990s, He has engaged in a regulatory matter on the areas of PRA and severe accident assessment.

During the period of 2007 to 2008, he was the Head of Operational Incident Investigation Team. After that, he was in charge of a national long-term nuclear safety research project entitled “Development of regulatory techniques for operational performance evaluation of nuclear power plants.”

During the period of 2012 to 2016, he was the Inspection Project Manager of YGN site in Korea.

He has been a technical coordinator of Radiological Emergency Technical Advisory Center (RETAC) of KINS. RETAC is in charge of providing technical advice on radiological emergency response and  dispatching technical advisory team to the affected site.
