J. David Robertson

J. David Robertson is a professor in the Chemistry Department at the University of Missouri and Associate Director for Research and Education at the University of Missouri Research Reactor.  He received his B.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1982 and is Ph.D. in nuclear chemistry from the University of Maryland at Collage Park in 1986.  His research is focused on the development and application of radioisotope micro-power sources (nuclear batteries), nuclear forensics, and radioisotopes for imaging and therapy.  Dr. Robertson has published over 215 research articles and has served as an expert witness in radiochemistry both in the United States and Canada. He served as the Chair of the Division of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology of the American Chemical Society in 2006, was named the 2006 University of Missouri William H. Byler Distinguished Professor, and was named a Fellow of the American Chemical Society in 2010.
