TH35  Risk-Informed Licensing Initiatives for Nuclear Power Plants–Past, Present, and Future

This session will focus on risk-informed licensing initiatives at nuclear power plants to include major past, present, and future reviews, such as TSTF 505, “Provide Risk-Informed Extended Completion Times—RITSTF Initiative 4B”; Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations 50.69, “Risk-informed categorization and treatment of structures, systems and components for nuclear power reactors”; the Nuclear Energy Institute’s Tornado Missile Risk Evaluator; and Seismic Probabilistic Risk Assessment. The session will also include discussions on past, present, and future regulations and guidance affecting risk-informed licensing of nuclear power plants.
