T3 Current Environment and Future Trends in the Fuel Cycle Industry
The fuel cycle industry is at an important junction. On one hand, the price of uranium continues to fall, and demand for nuclear fuel is flat. On the other hand, new technologies for nuclear power production are ramping up, and the potential need for new types of fuel is on the horizon. This six-person panel comprising government and industry representatives will discuss trends in the fuel cycle industry, regulatory oversight/licensing initiatives, and what they see as the future of the industry and regulatory engagement. The purpose of the panel would be to inform the audience on the current environment and future challenges facing the fuel cycle industry.
