T2 Collaborations to Gain Efficiencies in Radiation Protection Efforts
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) recognizes the importance of enhancing the radiation protection infrastructure to maintain safety and improve efficiency under the changing environment and is taking steps to make improvements. An open discussion to seek out efficiencies that could be gained in reporting, regulatory guide development, and sharing of information is the first step to successful and meaningful collaboration between organizations and agencies. As part of its outreach efforts, the staff continues to engage external stakeholders to seek input and feedback on how to improve the radiation protection program.
