The Radiation Protection Computer Code Analysis and Maintenance Program (RAMP)

Sponsored by the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research

This multimedia presentation describes the Radiation Protection Computer Code Analysis and Maintenance Program (RAMP). RAMP develops, maintains, and distributes the NRC’s radiation protection, dose assessment, and emergency response computer codes. RAMP also develops cooperative research agreements with other countries and conducts two user meetings per year. The computer codes in RAMP are Radiological Assessment System for Consequence Analysis (RASCAL), Symbolic Nuclear Analysis Package/Radionuclide Transport and Removal and Dose Estimation (SNAP/RADTRAD), VARSKIN, Gaseous and Liquid Effluents (GALE), Decommissioning and Decontamination (DandD), HABIT, GENII, MILDOS, NRC atmospheric codes, a graphical user interface called PiMAL, and Radiological Toolbox.
