Kati Austgen

Kati Austgen is a Senior Project Manager for New Plant Licensing at the Nuclear Energy Institute.  She leads several task forces including the Advanced Reactor Regulatory Task Force.  The Advanced Reactor Regulatory Task Force is focused on leading industry efforts to resolve regulatory issues and implement recommendations for ensuring an efficient and predictable regulatory framework appropriate for demonstration of Advanced Reactors by 2025 and commercialization by 2030.  Prior to coming to NEI, Kati was a licensing engineer at Ameren Missouri’s Callaway Energy Center where she was 10 CFR 50.59 program owner overseeing all aspects of the program including training.  Kati holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Oregon State University and the University of Missouri, respectively.
