Kevin Hsueh

Since November 2015, Dr. Kevin Hsueh has served as the Chief, Licensing Processes Branch, Division of Policy and Rulemaking, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR).  Dr. Hsueh joined the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in 1998 as a health physicist in the former Office of State and Tribal Programs.  He has since held progressively more responsible positions at the NRC, including Chief, Rulemaking Branch A in the former Office of Federal and State Materials and Environmental Programs (FSME), Chief, Environmental Review Branch in FSME, and Chief, Research and Test Reactors Oversight Branch in NRR.Dr. Hsueh holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in nuclear engineering from the National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, and a Ph.D. degree in nuclear engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  Dr. Hsueh is a certified health physicist by the American Board of Health Physics and is a graduate of the NRC’s Leadership Potential Program.
