Educational Background
  • 1981-1985, received a bachelor's degree in nuclear reactor engineering and nuclear safety at Xi'an Jiaotong University.
  • 1987-1990, received a master's degree in nuclear reactor engineering and nuclear safety at Xi'an Jiaotong University.

Work Experience
  • 1985-1987, worked in the Instrumentation and Control Office of Suzhou Nuclear Power Research Institute, participated in the preparation of safety review of Jiangyin NPP construction project and commissioning of thermal power plants.
  • 1990-2002, joined the Nuclear Safety Center(TSO of NNSA), took part in safety reviews of the design of new NPPs and provided technical support for safety regulation on operating NPPs including: safety review of design modification, evaluation of special application, analysis and evaluation of operational events, operational experience feedback, technical support for on-site inspection and periodic safety review of NPPs, also headed the office of nuclear facility safety in Nuclear Safety Center.
  • 2002-2005, served as First Secretary for the Permanent Mission of China in IAEA and acted as liaison between IAEA and China in the aspect of nuclear safety issues.
  • 2005-2010, Division Director of NNSA, responsible for nuclear safety regulation on newly built and operating NPPs.
  • 2010-2015, Chief Engineer of the North China Regional Office of NNSA, responsible for organizing on-site inspections on nuclear facilities in the region.
  • 2015-2016, Deputy Director General of Department of Nuclear Power Safety Regulation of NNSA, organized safety review and environmental impact evaluations of newly built NPPs and safety regulations on the installation and commissioning of new reactors including AP1000, CAP1400, Hualong-one and VVER.
