Jearl Strickland

Jearl Strickland serves as Leader of Generation Technical Services at Diablo Canyon Power Plant under the Nuclear Generation Energy Supply division of Pacific Gas and Electric Company.  He has over 35 years of experience in the design, licensing and management of engineering programs and projects associated with power production facilities.  He is currently responsible for Seismic Projects, Geosciences department, Nuclear Fuels group, Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage, License Renewal, Licensing Basis Verification Program, Business Management including Compliance and Risk, and the Probabilistic Risk Assessment group.

Strickland has also served as the Director of Nuclear Projects, Interim Director of Strategic Projects, Senior Regional Manager in Government Relations, Manager of the Used Fuel Storage Program, and Civil Engineering Manager.

Strickland holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State University at Chico, an MBA degree in Project and Construction Management from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, and graduated course work in Structural Analysis, Dynamics and Soil Structure Interaction from the University of California at Berkeley.
