Scott Brown

Scott Brown is the Recovery Programs Manager for the South Carolina Emergency Management Division. In this capacity, Scott is responsible for recovery plans, policy, and SOP development, exercise coordination and training. He also provides oversight of the public - private sector partnership programs in conjunction with the South Carolina Department of Commerce. Prior to joining the SCEMD Team, he served for 28 years in the United States Army in a variety of leadership and staff positions. He has supported flood relief efforts in Afghanistan, Earthquake Exercises in FEMA Region IX and is currently supporting the recovery efforts in South Carolina in response to severe weather and flooding in October 2015.

Scott received his Masters from the United States Army Command and General Staff College in 2000 and his Bachelors in Geography from the University of South Carolina in 1986.
