TH38  The Use of Modeling and Simulation Tools to Conduct Security Vulnerability Assessments to Support Regulatory Decisions

Several nuclear power plant licensees have been actively using modelling and simulation tools to conduct security vulnerability assessments of their facilities, to support protection planning, to support training, and to submit security plan changes. Multiple Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 50.54(p) submissions have been made supported by related analyses. This session will describe these developments and how they may evolve. In addition, there will be a discussion of related domestic and international initiatives.
