Mark Delligatti

Mark Stephen Delligatti is Deputy Director of New Reactor Licensing in the Office of New Reactors (NRO).  He has been with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission for over 31 years.  Much of his career was spent managing diverse projects concerning the back end of the fuel cycle.  He served as NRC’s Yucca Mountain project manager, project manager for the licensing of the Holtec HI-STAR, the first dual purpose transportation and storage cask approved for use by NRC.

Mr. Delligatti also served as lead project manager for the licensing of the Private Fuel Storage Facility, the first centralized away-from-reactor storage facility and the first license ever granted for a facility on the land of a Federally-recognized Indian Tribe.

Mr. Delligatti also served as Chief of the Materials Rulemaking Branch.

Before joining NRO, he also served as Acting Deputy Director of the Materials Safety and State Agreements Program and Acting Deputy in the Division of License Renewal.

Mark is a proud alumnus of SUNY Oneonta and received his Master of Public Administration degree from the American University.  He is a member of the Senior Executive Service.
