United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission - Protecting People and the Environment

Doug Miller

I am the Acting Director for the New Major Facilities Licensing Division.  Our division leads the vendor design reviews of new reactor technologies, and leads the regulatory review of applications for new reactors in Canada.

Previous work at the CNSC involved a focus on refurbishment and life extension projects, and continuous improvements of the CNSC’s licensing and compliance processes.

Prior to joining the CNSC I worked at AECL – Chalk River on reactor decontamination and chemical cleaning technologies, and materials behavior.

I have Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry, focusing on catalysis and electrochemistry.
