William B. Kennedy

William Kennedy is a Safety Officer in the Research Reactor Safety Section of the Division of Nuclear Installation Safety of the International Atomic Energy Agency.  At the IAEA, Mr. Kennedy has conducted peer review missions, organized international meetings and training workshops and developed publications on research reactor safety, addressing both operational and regulatory aspects.  Prior to joining the IAEA, Mr. Kennedy worked at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission as a research and test reactor licensing project manager.  Mr. Kennedy received a BSE in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he also worked as a licensed reactor operator at the MITR-II research reactor.
