Tara Inverso

Tara Inverso is the Chief of the Rulemaking Branch in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.  Prior to this position, Tara was a rulemaking project manager.  In that role, she was the lead on the agency’s Cumulative Effects of Regulation effort and the 10 CFR 50.46c (Emergency Core Cooling System Acceptance Criteria) rulemaking.  Tara joined the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in 2009.  Prior to working at the NRC, Tara served 7 years in the Navy on the USS Boxer (LHD 4), the USS Nimitz (CVN 68), and at the Naval Recruiting District, Pittsburgh, PA.

Tara earned a bachelor of science degree in ocean engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a master of engineering management degree from Old Dominion University.
