David S. Burgin

David Burgin is the Corporate Functional Area Manager and Manager for Emergency Preparedness at Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG), Nuclear LLC which includes the Salem and Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations.

David holds a Masters in Public Relations and two undergraduate BAs in Communication and Education from Rowan University and currently serves as President of Rowan University’s Alumni Board of Directors.

David has over 25 years of nuclear plant EP experience and over 5 years of public affairs experience at the federal, state and local level.  David has supported numerous professional projects in EP and public communication for the Nuclear Energy Institute including:  the EP Working Group and the Communications Forum, the Risk Informed Task Force and the  Pandemic Working Group and for the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations including:  the EP Working Group, the Training Group, the Fukushima Advisory Teams and the Pandemic Team.  David has supported EP related projects in New Jersey and Delaware as well as numerous civic groups.

He manages an EP program that has successfully ensured a high level of emergency preparedness at the Salem and Hope Creek nuclear plants by applying innovative management and advanced solutions to meet regulatory requirements.
