Douglas Broaddus

Mr. Broaddus is the Chief of the Plant Licensing IV-2 and Decommissioning Transition Branch in the Division of Operating Reactor Licensing (DORL).  He has been at the NRC since 1991.  Prior to becoming a Branch Chief in DORL in 2010, he was a Senior Project Manager in the Office of Federal and State Materials and Environmental Management, served as a Technical Assistant to Chairman Dale Klein and to Commissioner Kristine Svinicki, and was the Technical Assistant to the Director of the Office of Nuclear Materials Safety and Safeguards (NMSS) and the Team Lead for the NMSS Energy Policy Act Task Force.  Mr. Broaddus received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, and is a graduate of the 2010 NRC Leadership Potential Program.
