Robert Elliott

Mr. Robert Elliott is the Chief of the Technical Specifications Branch.  He joined the NRC in 1990 as a Project Engineer, and has held several increasingly responsible positions since, including:  1) as a technical reviewer in both the Containment Systems and Plant Systems Branches, 2) as a technical assistant (TA) to both a Division Director and an Associate Office Director in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation NRR, 3) as a senior staff engineer for the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS), and  4) as the Chief of the Contracts Management Branch in NRR.  In 2007, Mr. Elliott was selected as the NRC’s Congressional Fellow, spending one year working on Capitol Hill as a Senate staff member.  Mr. Elliott is a graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy with a degree in Marine Engineering, and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
