T5  Recent Operating Reactors Materials and Mechanical Component Issues

This session will cover recent issues associated with materials of construction and mechanical components at U.S. nuclear power plants. Events discussed may include cracking of refueling water storage tanks, use of high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe for buried piping applications, reactor vessel internals inspection results, status of inspection requirements for bottom mounted instrument nozzles, delayed appearance of defects in control rod drive mechanism (CRDM) nozzle encapsulated flaw weld repairs, and in-service testing issues.
