Anthony Mendiola

Anthony Mendiola has served for 28 years in a variety of supervisory roles in the technical and licensing areas within the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.  Tony received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics as a 1979 graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy.  He qualified as Engineer in the US Navy's Nuclear Power Surface Fleet.  Prior to joining the NRC, Tony worked for General Electric and certified as a Boiling Water Reactor Senior Reactor Operator and Startup Test Engineer.  For the past 6 years, Tony served as Chief, Nuclear Performance and Code Review Branch, and in January of this year, became the Chief of the Licensing Processes Branch, which supervises staff activities related to NRC reviews of industry topical reports.
