Dell McNeil

Mr. Dell McNeil is a Senior Operations Engineers in NRC Region 3, located in Lisle, IL near Chicago.  Mr. McNeil is responsible for administration of NRC Initial License Examinations, facility Requalification Program Inspections (IP 71111.11) and other inspections as required by the NRC.  Mr. McNeil has been in the Operations Branch administering license examinations since June 1990.  Mr. McNeil has been conducting requalification program inspections since its inception.

Mr. McNeil has over 40 years of combined nuclear related experience with the U.S. Navy, Washington Public Power Supply System (WNP 1&4), Illinois Power Company (CPS), two nuclear related contract companies (Interfacts, Inc. and Enecon Services), and with the NRC.  While in the US Navy, Mr. McNeil was an electrician and finished his career as a Staff Training Group Electrician qualified as an Engineering Officer of the Watch.  Mr. McNeil was certified as an RO/SRO at the Old Forest Road (OFR 1) simulator, a B&W simulator, as an RO/SRO at the WNP-1 Simulator, a B&W simulator, and as an SRO at the Black Fox Simulator, a GE-BWR-6 control room simulator.  He has provided contractor services at Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, Clinton Power Station, Vermont Yankee Station, and Brunswick Station.  Although Mr. McNeil has participated in numerous NRC inspections, his NRC expertise has focused on operator licensing examinations and inspections throughout his career at the NRC.
