Cathy Eade

Cathy Eade is the Nuclear Industries and Electricity Chief for the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Infrastructure Protection, Sector Outreach and Programs Division.  Ms. Eade coordinates with private and federal agencies to identify critical infrastructures and systems, identify vulnerabilities, mitigate and correct vulnerabilities, and prepare and respond to national emergencies.

Prior to this position, Ms. Eade served as the Electric Sector Specialist in Infrastructure Protection.   In this role, she interacted with industry and government partners to assist in strengthening their security posture.   

Ms. Eade is an experienced security specialist, particularly in the areas of physical protection, threat analysis, and vulnerability assessment.  She has experience in leading and managing protective security teams in a dynamic, operational, and high threat environment.

Ms. Eade has spent over 22 years in the Federal Government.  Previously, she worked for the Department of State conducting security oversight inspections overseas at U.S. Embassies.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
