T3 Severe Accident Codes Analysis and Fukushima Response Activities

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s (NRC’s) computer codes are designed to model the realistic outcomes of severe accident scenarios at nuclear power plants. They work in conjunction to estimate possible source terms released to the environment from a severe accident and the consequences that might result from those releases. This session will provide an overview of a variety of current applications of these computer codes, including Fukushima response activities.
