Christopher E. Earls

Chris Earls has 28 years of experience in the nuclear power industry. Chris is currently the Director, Safety-Focused Regulation at the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) and has been with NEI for the past four years. Prior to his current position, Chris held the Director, Security position at NEI. In addition to Chris' NEI experience, he has broad plant and corporate management experience in the areas Chemistry, Radiation Protection, Engineering, Nuclear Oversight, and Project Management. Chris also obtained an Operations certification at the Calvert Cliffs nuclear power plant. Most of Chris's professional career has been spent working at Constellation Energy in Maryland, but he also worked at the Tennessee Valley Authority, and a small engineering consulting firm in California. Chris holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
