Shahram Ghasemian

Shahram Ghasemian is the ADR Program Manager and a Senior Enforcement Advisor in the NRC's Office of Enforcement, in Rockville, Maryland. In this capacity, he oversees the day-to-day activities of the Office of Enforcement's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program, handles enforcement actions, and assists senior management on policy issues, relating to the NRC's Employee Protection regulations. During his tenure at the NRC, he has also served as a senior staff attorney in the Office of General Counsel and later in the Office of Commission Appellate Adjudication.

Prior to joining the NRC in 2006, Mr. Ghasemian was an Assistant General Counsel at USEC Inc., an NRC certificate-holder. In that capacity, he advised senior management on NRC regulated activities, employment matters, commercial transactions and corporate compliance and governance issues. He also litigated “whistleblower” complaints before the Department of Labor and the NRC. During his tenure with USEC, he also served as Chief Counsel at USEC's production facility in Paducah, Kentucky from 1999-2001.

Mr. Ghasemian received his B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin in 1990 and his J.D., cum laude, from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois, in 1997, where he served as an editor on the John Marshall Law Review. Mr. Ghasemian is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia.
