Bo M. Pham

Mr. Bo Pham is a Branch Chief in the Division of License Renewal (DLR) at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), where he oversees the review of applications for license renewal. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he began his career as a nuclear submarine officer in the Navy. Following his sea tour on the Trident nuclear submarine USS OHIO, he was assigned as Project Officer for Strategic Systems Programs in Washington, D.C., where he was responsible for the acquisition and development of computer-based training software. After leaving active military service, he worked as a telecommunications project manager for UUNET Technologies, expanding their internet backbone services in the western states. He returned to the public sector as a Licensing Project Manager for the NRC and held other supervisory positions in DLR prior to taking his current assignment. Mr. Pham holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Academy, and an MBA from the University of Maryland. He was born in Vietnam and now makes Washington, D.C. his home. He has traveled extensively throughout the world for both work and pleasure, and is also an active volunteer and board member with several non-profit organizations in Washington, D.C.
