Jeffrey Williams

Jeff Williams is the Deputy Director for the Office of Used Nuclear Fuel Disposition R &D.  In this role, he is responsible for the management of activities of the Department of Energy's R&D associated with storage, transportation, and disposal of used nuclear fuel.  Previously, he worked for the Department of Energy's now terminated Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management in several different management positions.  This included leading the team designing and siting the Monitored Retrievable Storage facility, the conceptual design and evaluation of the Multiple Purpose Canister,  interactions with the NRC on the Yucca Mountain License Application, among other things.
