TH35 Software-Based Tools for the Development of Digital Safety Systems
The NRC has reviewed and approved the use of several software tools that are being used for various aspects of the software life cycle process; however, there continues to be a lack of comprehensive guidance in this area. These tools continue to evolve as developers add capabilities and features and as the tools are used in various ways that directly or indirectly affect the resulting safety systems. This session will discuss emerging issues, the NRC's expectations for the use of these tools, and recent guidance development efforts.
