Profile

Keith Jury was named Vice President of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs for Exelon Nuclear in April 2007. As Vice President, he is responsible for the governance and oversight of corporate licensing, site regulatory affairs, environmental, and licensing programs for all Exelon stations.

Professional History

Prior to becoming Vice President of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Jury served as Director of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs for five years. As Director, he played a key role in developing a positive working interface between Exelon Nuclear and the NRC. Keith came to Exelon in 2000 at Byron Station, serving for two years as Site Support Services Director and Mechanical Maintenance Manager.

Jury entered the nuclear industry right out of high school, working as a co-op at Perry throughout his college years. Upon graduation, FENOC hired Jury to work at Perry in Quality Assurance. After a year and a half, he went to work for the NRC as a regional inspector, resident inspector (Robinson), and senior resident inspector (Point Beach) over the course of seven and a half years. Jury left the NRC in 1994 and served at Robinson for Progress Energy as Licensing/Regulatory Programs Manager at Perry for FENOC as Compliance Manager, and at Brunswick for Progress Energy as Regulatory Affairs Manager.

Education

Jury attended Case Western Reserve University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
