Bhavesh Patel

Mr. Patel has extensive background in Procurement Engineering and Commercial Grade Dedication, approximately 25 years, in the operation and regulation of nuclear power plants. Mr. Patel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama. Mr. Patel currently manages the Fleet Procurement Engineering and Dedication organization at Progress Energy’s Central Receiving and Dedication Facility. Prior to that, Mr. Patel was also a Dedication Lab Supervisor and a lead procurement engineer. Before he joined Progress Energy (then Carolina Power and Light) 20 years ago, he was heavily involved in Environmental Qualification and spent several years working at EGS (a third party qualifier) preparing dedication test packages. Mr. Patel is also a past Chair of the EPRI JUTG (Joint Utility Task Group) on Procurement Engineering.
