Albert G. Coons, Lead Emergency Management Program Specialist, Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program Branch – Technological Hazards Division, National Preparedness & Protection Directorate, Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Mr. Coons is currently a Deputy Branch Chief at FEMA with responsibility for the oversight of several Radiological Emergency Preparedness programs at the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Mr. Coons has over 9 years experience at FEMA as an emergency preparedness specialist. His experience includes work in the areas of emergency planning, preparing emergency plans, situational awareness, and as an event responder. Prior to his work at FEMA, Mr. Coons worked in the private sector in the nuclear power industry, and with the U.S. Navy’s nuclear power program. Mr. Coons has over 25 years total experience related to the nuclear power industry.
