Michael Case

Michael J. Case is currently the Director, Division of Engineering, Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research (RES). Mr. Case joined the NRC as an Operations Engineer in the Division of Licensing Performance and Quality Evaluation, in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR), in 1989. Since that time, he has held progressively responsible positions including Technical Assistant, Division of Reactor Programs, NRR, Chief, Resource Management Branch in the Program Management, Policy Development and Planning Staff, NRR, and was a licensed Senior Reactor Operator. Mr. Case served as the Director, Program Management, Policy Development and Planning Staff, from July 2001 until July 2004. From July 2004 until October 2006, he served as the Deputy Director, Division of Inspection Program Management. Prior to his appointment in RES he held the position of Director of Policy and Rulemaking. Mr. Case has a B.S. degree in Biology from Fordham University.
