R.V. (Ron) Nicholson

Dr. Nicholson has formal training in hydrogeology and geochemistry with a Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo in 1984. He is a Principal with and Senior Environmental Scientist at EcoMetrix Incorporated, with more than 25 years of experience in consulting, teaching and research. He has worked as a consultant and research scientist, and has been a principal investigator on a variety of hydrogeologic studies involving contaminated site assessments, geochemical evaluation of contaminant behavior, and migration of metals and radionuclides through the key environmental and ecosystem pathways. Dr. Nicholson is recognized nationally as an expert in the transport of radionuclides, arsenic and metals released from uranium mine tailings and waste rock, and has experience with the assessment of tritium migration at nuclear facilities.
