André-Claude Lacoste

Mr. André-Claude Lacoste has been Head of the French nuclear regulatory body for more than seventeen years. In 2006, when the regulatory body became an independent authority as ASN, he was appointed Chairman of its Commission for a mandate of six years. André-Claude Lacoste has always demonstrated an active commitment in international activities, in particular through his involvement in the process of the Convention on Nuclear Safety and the Joint Convention. He is also a founding member of the International Regulators Association (INRA) and of the Western European Nuclear Regulators' Association (WENRA) which he chaired from 1999 to 2003. Furthermore, André-Claude Lacoste is the Chairman of the Commission on Safety Standards since June 2005 and the Chairman of the Multinational Design Evaluation Program policy Group.
