Henry Stephens

Mr. Stephens has degrees in physics and mathematics. He has over forty years experience in Quality Assurance (QA), Nondestructive Examination (NDE), and Inservice Inspection (ISI). Thirty-six years of his experience is directly related to NDE in the electric utility industry, including fossil, hydro, and nuclear power applications. Five years of his experience is in research, development, and implementation of advanced aerospace Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) systems. He has passed The American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), Level III examinations in visual, liquid penetrate, magnetic particle, radiography, and ultrasonics, and is certified by ASNT as a Level III. In addition, he has received the ASNT Meritorious Service, Fellow and Tutorial Citation Award; he is a past Chair of the ASNT Board of Directors and Past President. He is an active member of ASME Section XI, Subgroup Water Cooled Systems and is Secretary of the Working Group Containment. He is also a member of the newly formed ASME Nondestructive Examination (ANDE) Committee and Chair of the ASME Task Group to Develop the Nuclear Performance Based NDE Qualification Program.
