Russell Sydnor

Russell Sydnor is the Branch Chief of the Digital Instrumentation and Controls Branch in the Division of Engineering in the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research. Russell has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland and over 35 years of experience in the Nuclear Power industry. Russell has experience with Naval Reactors as well as the commercial nuclear power industry where he served in a number of engineering and management roles and also obtained a Reactor Operators License. He joined the NRC in 2007 as a Branch Chief in the NRC’s Office of Research where he leads the implementation of the NRC’s Digital Systems Research Plan.
