Document Reproduction Information

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Public Document Room (PDR) contractor, Aitheras, will provide document reproduction services to the public for PDR documents at the rates listed below. Relevant sales tax and postage will be added.

The librarians in the PDR will research the information and prepare the order for Aitheras. Reproduction orders are collected from the PDR and prepared by Aitheras staff. Turnaround times begin once Aitheras picks up the order. Generally on mornings when an order is prepared, orders received by the PDR librarians after collection by Aitheras will be processed on the next available day. Please contact the librarians in the PDR if you have questions about ordering documents.

Aitheras may be contacted directly with any questions at 800-592-5436 or via their contact page.  They can provide the total amount for the requested service on the customer invoice, since the cost may be more than the prices quoted below.

There is a $25 minimum charge on all copy orders.

Orders and Pricing

For ordering of documents, the charges and turnaround times are as follows. These prices are effective from October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2026.

Note: Orders completed for mailing by the U.S. Postal Service or by a private delivery service will include an additional cost for the mailing, shipping, or delivery service rate. 

* A minimum charge of $28 will be applied to all copy orders.

Payment Methods

Payment for document reproduction services is made directly to Aitheras. Customers may pay by credit card, or contact Aitheras with any questions, at 800-592-5436 or via their contact page. 

Billing Questions

For information regarding billing, please contact Aitheras at 800-592-5436. Aitheras does not provide reference services and does not accept orders directly from the public. Orders must be placed through the PDR librarians.

Duplication Service Questions

Please submit requests for information or questions about document duplication services by e-mail to PDR.Resource@nrc.gov or by phone at 800-397-4209 or 301-415-4737. Assistance is available from the PDR librarians Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The PDR is closed on Federal holidays.
