NRC ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON REACTOR SAFEGUARDS
TO HOLD OCTOBER MEETING IN ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards will hold a public meeting October 1-4 in Rockville, Md. The committee will discuss, among other items, license renewal applications for the Fort Calhoun and H.B. Robinson nuclear power plants, as well as hear an NRC report on the effects of electricity-grid-related events (between 1985 and 2001) on nuclear power plant performance.

The meeting will be held in Room T-2B3 of the agency’s Two White Flint North building, at 11545 Rockville Pike. The meeting will begin at 10:15 a.m. on October 1, and at 8:30 a.m. the succeeding days.
