NOTE TO EDITORS:

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has received four reports from its Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards following the committee's 448th and 449th meetings in February and March. The reports, in the form of letters, provide comments on:

-- Risk-ranking approach for motor-operated valves.

-- Proposed improvements to the senior management meeting process.

-- Proposed final standard review plan sections and regulatory guides for risk-informed, performance-based regulation for inservice testing, graded quality assurance, and technical specifications.

-- Secy-98-001, Mechanism for addressing generic safety issues
