Effective Dates for Sections of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations

Most final rules take effect 30 days after being published in the Federal Register. On occasion, the effective date of a final rule is deferred for a longer period. Final rules that do not become effective within the 30 day period are listed under the year of their effective date. If a final rule will become effective after an indeterminate period, such as when regulatory guidance is issued, the final rule is listed under the unspecified link.
