DRAFT REGULATORY GUIDE DG-1096, "TRANSIENT AND ACCIDENT ANALYSIS METHODS" AND STANDARD REVIEW PLAN, SECTION 15.0.1, "REVIEW OF ANALYTICAL COMPUTER CODES"

During the 472^nd meeting of the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards, May 11-13, 2000, the Committee met with the NRC staff to discuss the subject draft regulatory guide and standard review plan (SRP) Section. Following the NRC staff presentation, the Committee decided that additional review of these documents by the Committee prior to issuing them for public comment is not necessary. The Committee requested that the staff provide any revisions of these documents to the ACRS prior to issuance for public comment.

The Committee plans to review the proposed final version of the draft regulatory guide and SRP Section after reconciliation of public comments. The Committee has no objection to issuing the draft regulatory guide and SRP section for public comment.
