  • Hope Creek Extended Power Uprate Review - Schedule Confirmed. PSEG submitted application proposing operation of Hope Creek at 20 percent above its original licensed thermal power. Hope Creek is a large BWR/4, with Mark I containment. The core is loaded with predominantly GE-14 fuel and some twice or thrive burned SVEA-96 (Westinghouse) fuel. The review of the applicability of the anaytical methods and codes is based on the NRC-approved generic GE topical report NEDC-33173P. PSEG is not replacing the steam dryer.

  • Browns Ferry Units' EPU Containment Response, Methodology and Results (Unconfirmed)
  • This is a briefing to cover the Browns Ferry Units containment analysis results for the LOCA, Appendix R and ATWS. The BFN-1 restart Committee letter included recommendations in addressing NPSH overpressure credit for EPU operation.  The object of this briefing is for the members to obtain additional technical information on the containment analyses results addressed in the Browns Ferry Unit 1 restart.   In this briefing, the staff and TVA will present the bases for acceptability of the containment overpressure credit and the details of containment analyses performed.
