The Chairman will open the meeting with brief opening remarks, outline the topics to be discussed, and indicate items of interest.
2) 10:40 - 12:00 Noon Commission Presentation (Open) (ALL)
The Committee will discuss its presentation for the October 23, 2003 public meeting with the NRC Commissioners. Topics proposed for discussion:
-Chairman's Report (BJG/HJL)
-High-Level Waste Risk Insights (RFW/RKM)
-TSPA/TPA Working Group (GMH/NMC)
-Performance Confirmation Working Group (MTR/NMC)
-Status and Pathway to Closure on KTIs (ML/MPL)
  12:00 - 1:00 P.M. ***LUNCH***
3) 1:00 - 6:00 P.M. Committee Retreat (Open) (BJG/MPL)
The focus of the September 2003 retreat is to identify the suite of topics that the Committee intends to examine over the next 12 to 18 months. The topics to be proposed would be consistent with the priorities defined in Action Plan as well as earlier Committee
discussions with the Commission and NMSS management.

The Chairman will make opening remarks regarding the conduct of today's sessions.

Committee Retreat (Continued) (Open) (BJG/MPL)
The Committee will continue its retreat discussions.

6) 1:00 - 1:15 P.M. Miscellaneous (Open)
The Committee will discuss matters related to the conduct of Committee activities and matters and specific issues that were not completed during previous meetings, as time and availability of information permit.

  • Presentation time should not exceed 50 percent of the total time allocated for a specific item. The remaining 50 percent of the time is reserved for discussion.
  • Thirty-Five (35) copies of the presentation materials should be provided to the ACNW.
  • ACNW meeting schedules are subject to change. Presentations may be canceled or rescheduled to another day.
