Opening Statement (BJG/RKM) The Chairman will open the meeting with brief opening remarks, outline the topics to be discussed, and indicate several items of interest. 13) 8:35 - 10:30 A.M. DOE's Work Reprioritization (Paul Herrington, Mike Vogele) DOE will discuss repository design developments, including an update of the design process, which will lead to a complete license application design. Bounding conditions caused by funding will be highlighted. (BJG/ACC) 10:30 - 10:45 A.M. **BREAK** 14) 10:45 - 11:15 A.M DOE Process Model Reports (Mike Lugo) Representatives from DOE will discuss the PMR process and how the information presented in these 9 reports will be used as input into the total systems performance assessment and ultimately the site recommendation decision. (BJG/ACC) 15) 11:15 - 12:00 NOON Earthquake Hazards and Public Perception (Kevin Coppersmith, Geomatrix) Representative from Geomatrix will discuss basic elements of an approach to perform probabilistic seismic hazard analysis (PSHA), approaches to address public perceptions and concerns, and local earthquakes including Scotties Junction and Little Skull Mountain. Nye County Drilling Program (Tom Buqo) Representatives of Nye County will discuss results to date and future plans from their scientific investigation at the Yucca Mountain site. Clark County Presentation (Engelbrecht von Tiesenhausen) Representatives from Clark County will discuss transportation and other issues relevant to the proposed HLW repository at Yucca Mountain. Yucca Mountain Site Tour (BJG/HJL) Note: The Committee and its staff will tour the Yucca Mountain site and other DOE test facilities. In addition to the Committee and its staff, four representatives from the Counties and State will accompany the ACNW on its tour. The ACNW tour group is limited to fifteen people. 22) 6:00 A.M. Meet DOE representatives and board the tour bus at the Alexis Park Hotel. 23) 6:30 - 8:30 A.M. Tunnel Training at DOE's Public Information Facility in Las Vegas or the Field Office Center at the Nevada Test Site. 24) 9:00 A.M. Go underground at Yucca Mountain, view various experiments. Principal Investigators will discuss their projects 25) 11:00 A.M. View water infiltration studies at Busted Butte 12:00 NOON **LUNCH** (eat box lunch somewhere onsite) 1:00 P.M.
